Infrastructure such as buildings, roads, traffic and other constraints in urban areas often require tree pruning.
However, pruning reduces the number of leaves on the tree, which affects its ability of photosynthesis. It is important that no branches are pruned without a clear reason. Furthermore, it is essential to use the correct pruning technique to avoid damage and infections to the tree and ensure that it can continue to grow and develop in a healthy way.
First of all, the purpose of pruning must be clear.
We offer tree care consultancy services, such as expert assessment and advice to ensure trees are properly maintained, pruned, and protected from disease and damage. These services can be essential for both private properties and public spaces, where trees play an important role in landscaping, aesthetics, and the ecosystem.

Planting trees is an important aspect of securing the future of these ecosystems, offering the benefits of old trees to the next generations.
However, planting can often go wrong or lead to shortened lifespan if not all parameters are mapped and/or implemented correctly.
Planting depth, soil type, weather exposure, contamination, damage during transport, water management, etc. play a very important role in the success of the planting.
Planting trees in urban environments in particular can be challenging as habitat conditions are often less than optimal.
Tree felling is sometimes a necessary measure to ensure both safety and health in an area. Trees that are diseased, rotten or weakened can pose a significant risk to people, buildings and infrastructure. When a tree is in poor condition, it can be dangerous to leave it unprotected, as it can fall, lose branches or spread disease to other trees in the area. In such cases, tree felling is a responsible solution to prevent damage or further problems. It is important that tree felling is carried out in a safe and professional manner, so as to minimise the risk of damage to the surrounding area.

If a tree is weakened due to defects such as ingrown bark, cracks, or collisions, but the tree is otherwise in good condition and vitality, tree cabling and/or bracing can be a good solution to preserve the tree and ensure safety around it. A cabling/bracing system - static or dynamic - prevents a tree from failing due to mechanical failure or weakening, and a dynamic installation stimulates regrowth to strengthen it. Cabling/bracing systems and the tree's response should be inspected regularly, and the systems must be adjusted as necessary.
We offer stump grinding after tree felling. Using a grinder, we remove the stump below ground level, making the area suitable for other functions such as new planting, grass, a terrace etc.

Clearing uprooted, broken trees and branches is an important measure to ensure both safety and a tidy landscape after storms or extreme weather conditions. When trees fall or branches break, they can be under tension, creating potential hazards for those attempting to clear up without the proper expertise.
It is therefore important to avoid cleaning such areas yourself, as it requires professional experience and equipment to do so safely.
We offer storm cleanup in a professional manner to prevent damage to people and property, and to ensure that the cleanup is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Wood chips are excellent as a mulch layer on the soil under the tree, and serve as nutrition for the underlying tree roots and the entire tree ecosystem. Wood chips contribute to good soil structure and rich microlife over time. In addition, wood chips as mulch reduce water evaporation, moderate temperature differences, inhibit weed growth and minimize damage from, among other things, lawn mowing.
But do not place the mulch layer against the trunk, because adequate air circulation is necessary to prevent bark rot.
Fresh wood chips require nitrogen to decompose, a nutrient that tree roots also need, so don't use too many wood chips, because then they will compete with the tree roots for nitrogen.
It is actually best to let them decompose before using them as mulch. This will reduce the nitrogen need and allow the nutrients to be more easily absorbed by the roots.
