ADVICE AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES

We use our expertise to assess tree health, suggest necessary measures, and provide guidance on sustainable tree management. Services can range from diagnosis of diseases, assistance during digging, pruning or felling to prevent diseases, advice on tree selection, and adapted solutions for specific challenges related to urban environments.

We also offer reporting av these services.

CONDITION ASSESSMENT

As professional arborists, we assess the overall health of the tree by looking at factors such as growth, root conditions, leaf development, stability etc.
Through a thorough inspection, we diagnose potential diseases, rot infections, damage or other health problems that may affect the tree's health and stability.
Based on our assessment of the tree's condition, we provide a thorough analysis of what could be the cause of the problems. This may include factors such as soil conditions, climate, mechanical damage etc.
We offer a comprehensive overview of the state of the tree, and whether additional measures are needed to ensure that the tree remains healthy and safe over time.

SAFETY ASSESSMENT

The purpose of a safety assessment is to determine whether an area is safe for people, other living organisms, and infrastructure. It starts with a condition assessment of a tree.
In addition, the area must be assessed and a number of questions must be asked. How likely is it that a part of the tree will fail, based on the tree's condition assessment? What would be affected (people, other organisms, infrastructure) if these parts of the tree were to fail? And what would be the consequences of these impacts?
We provide a comprehensive overview of all the factors and whether additional measures are necessary for safety reasons.

TREE VALUATION

Unfortunately, trees sometimes get illegally cut down or damaged.
In such cases, the owner may claim compensation for the loss and/or damage to their tree.
Since June 2024, Standard Norway has published a Norwegian Standard for the valuation of trees: NS 3846:2024. It describes a method for valuing trees growing in urban environments, parks, gardens, open spaces, natural terrains or similar. The result is a sum that corresponds to the owner's loss due to illegal felling or damage.
The valuation method aims to determine a realistic replacement value for damage to or illegal felling of trees.

TREE CARE ON CONSTRUCTION SITES

Construction processes have a major impact on surrounding trees.
To protect trees, it is important to prevent damage to roots, trunks and crowns and to maintain a healthy soil environment. Good protective measures require careful planning and organization of the construction site before the start, to avoid damage to vegetation.
Lack of protective measures during construction processes can lead to serious consequences for trees, such as reduced stability, reduced water and nutrient absorption, increased risk of disease and rot, etc. Soil compaction and changes in groundwater levels can further damage the tree's root system. In addition, the combination of several factors can lead to a stressed state that shortens the tree's lifespan and increases the risk of failures.
We offer assistance in securing trees on construction sites, such as protective measures, assistance during excavation, follow-up after the construction period, etc.
