PLANTING TREES
Planting is preferably carried out in spring and early summer, or in autumn, depending on the place and climate of the planting location.
The planting process begins with determining the tree's function and future purpose. The right tree on the right place!
Do you want a large tree in the long term, or do you prefer a fruit or ornamental tree? The planting area must also be taken into account.
Are the soil and weather conditions suitable for the type of tree I want?
Road pollution (salt) is also a factor that often needs to be taken into account in urban areas.
Once these things are figured out, the preparations for planting can start. Here too, many parameters are important: choice of root form, size of the tree, shape and size of the planting hole, nutritious mulch, watering and maintenance, etc.
MOVING TREES
In addition to planting new trees, we also take care of moving trees.
This may be necessary if the tree was not initially planted at the right location, when moving, or when changes are made in the infrastructure which means that the tree can no longer remain at it's original location.
In general, the chances of success in moving trees decrease as the tree gets larger/older. Young trees are more flexible in adapting to a new environment than older trees. As with planting new trees, the same parameters must be taken into account here, such as the type of substrate in the new location, weather conditions, time of planting, transportation, etc. When transplanting larger trees, preparations in the form of root pruning should start years in advance to increase the chances of success.
